What we do

Whitney Paine specialises in converting old drawings, file types and designs that do not have any design data into up to date 3D file formats such as Solidworks and .stl amongst many other formats.
To this end, our core tools are the Solidworks programme and a 3D scanner.
Solidworks technology has been used to put a NASA probe on Mars, recreate how the pyramids were built and design car and boats amongst numerous other projects.
The 3D scanner allows us to recreate design intent where original drawings have been lost or never existed.
Why recreate or update a design or object in a 3D format?
The reason is that by doing so, you can conduct analysis and have the parts made if necessary in a much more accurate and efficient way.
In addition to the above, changes in a design can be analyzed and incorporated in updated versions in a more efficient manner.
Finally, reverse engineering is an aspect of 3D design that tends to be classed as boring and tedious and is therefore unpopular and expensive. Whitney Paine loves reverse engineering and our prices reflect our efficiency and competency in this task.
Try us, you will be pleasantly surprised.
An example of the sequence a project to build a Bugatti part takes is shown below:
