Jaguar C-Type Replica
Scan an existing classic Jaguar C-Type and subtly manipulate the subsequent data to create a unique interpretation of the Jaguar C-Type design.
Once the design had been agreed, design and manufacture a buck - a tool used to create aluminium car bodies - and commission this at the clients chosen body manufacturers.
The buck was specifically designed to break down into three distinct modules - so that storage and work space could be saved and the body produced in sections if required.
The scanned data obtained from the subject vehicle and historical records and photographs of Jaguar C-Types.
Subject vehicle with powder and location dots applied, and demonstrating that the powder comes off easily!

The client specifically wanted the buck to split into three parts to save space.
The two computer generated pictures above were produced before the buck
was manufactured, to ensure the design was to the clients requirements

At the time of writing, Legends Classics, the firm that commissioned us, are busy promoting the superb C-Type replica they have created.
The buck being put straight to work producing a high quality product - The Legends Classics C-Type
Their website states that Legends Classics "evolved through determination, passionate belief in our products and the continual development of our range". Having witnessed at first hand the tenacity and focus they bought to the buck design project, we can testify that this is true.
We would like to thank Guy and Martin of Legends Classics for allowing us to tell the story of our work with them. If you ever need a replica Jaguar C-Type please contact Legends Classics via their website: http://legendsclassics.com/
Finally, this report would not be complete without thanking Paul and Jon from ND Metalcraft for their input into the project. Truly skilled in the craft of metal working, their website can be found here: http://www.ndmetal.co.uk/.
