Frequently Asked Questions
How much does your service cost?
Our minimum charge is £60. Single simple parts would be within this budget if the drawings supplied were in good condition and well annotated. The price we will quote rises from this low base depending on the number and complexity of the items needing modelling. We can quote on an hourly rate or if required an overall contract price. All quotes are given including VAT.
Do you purely work on UK projects?
No, we are prepared to work anywhere in the world.
You use the Solidworks programme. I want my project stored in a different file type. Is this possible?
Yes, projects can be stored in a variety of formats including, but not exclusively, .x_t, .igs, .iges, .step, .stl and .dwg.
My project encompasses more than creating 3D engineering files. Do you have a project management facility, whereby I can specify what is required and leave you to supply me the end result at the most competitive price?
Yes, we have other Solidworks contractors, professional photographers and experts in other areas such as 3D rendering "on call" and we are happy to manage your project for you. 3D design work can be approached in numerous ways, and being up to date in the latest techniques, we are able to choose the best way forward to achieve the desired result and save our clients money.
How quickly can my project be completed?
Possibly on the day you supply the required drawings or part to us if it is a single item. For more complex projects, you can either specify a longer time to complete the project - and save money as it can be fitted around other projects - or specify a required completion time. The choice is yours.
How do I know you are qualified and competent in this line of work?
If required, we can supply references and proof of examinations passed, that prove our superb performance and level of competency.
I require large parts to be recreated is this possible?
Yes, if drawings are supplied any size is possible. If a part is supplied for scanning and reverse engineering, most sizes can be accommodated.
